Aloe vera gel is the gel that you can find in the cactus like leaf of the plant, aloe vera. Sometimes, even the covering of the aloe vera leaves tend to condense to form a sticky substance called aloe vera gel. You can find many products in the market today having aloe vera gel in it.

Today, aloe vera is dubbed as the 'miracle plant'. It has been of great therapeutic value since hundreds of years in many civilizations. The most popular species of aloe vera is the plant Aloe Barbadensis Miller. The ingredients you find in aloe vera gel are sodium benzoate, sorbitol, witch hazel distillate, carbomer, aloe barbadensis gel, allantoin and propylparaben.

Aloe vera gel is mainly used for treating all forms of burns, eczema, diaper rash, scleroderma, insect bites, varicose veins, muscular pains, furuncles, scleroderma, allergies, acne, wounds and cuts, psoriasis and athlete's foot. Aloe vera gel can be applied externally and even consumed for medicinal uses. In fact, aloe vera gel is a great source of nutrition and helps greatly in remaining healthy. Aloe vera gel is found in the liquid form and is useful in curing most diseases and even it is said to control and cure HIV infections. In fact, many sports people consider it a great and nutritional supplement. In addition to all this, it is also effective in strengthening the immune system. When you feel heat, some aloe vera gel is quite effective in reducing heat as it is an anti-pyretic. If you are suffering from a bout of itchiness, it acts effectively in soothing the itching. Doctors suggest applying aloe vera gel after a major surgery or face surgeries as it revitalizes good tissue and improves the tissue function to help in reducing scarring. It is considered to be great in healing of first degree and minor second degree burns. Even excessive sunburns can be cured by aloe vera gel. Aloe Vera gel has anti-bacterial, anti fungal and anti viral properties thereby any inflammation and pain is reduced and thus healing is accelerated. It also has ingredients that help in reducing swelling, itching and the flow of blood to an injured area. It is also pretty effective in relieving joint and muscle pains because of its anesthetic powers.

Use aloe vera gel as an after bath lotion by adding 4-5 drops of lemon juice or glycerin to it to be applied to the body to feel refreshed. After waxing, apply aloe vera gel to help in healing, moisturizing and cooling the dewaxed surface. To give your hair a greater shine, add aloe vera gel to any shampoo and mix well to apply to the hair. This also prevents hair loss.

It is an undisputable fact that Aloe Vera gel is very useful both as a cosmetic and medicinally. Always keep a tube or bottle of aloe vera gel in the home to help cure health problems. Trying out the products of Aloe Vera will make you realize its true potential and benefits.
