Homemade Nourishing Creams

Oatmeal nourishing cream

Ingredients:

  • Egg yolk – 2 eggs
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon
  • Lanolin – 1 cup
  • Oatmeal – 1 cup
  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
  • Tincture of benzoin – ­­­ ½ teaspoon

Mix together the beaten yolk of egg, honey, lanolin, lemon juice and oatmeal. Stir in the tincture of benzoin. Message with this on face, neck and forehead with circular motion and keep it for 10 -15 minutes. Then wash off with lukewarm water. It is very good for dry skin.

Olive Nourishing Cream

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Egg yolk – 2 eggs
  • Tincture of benzoin – ½ teaspoon
  • Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon

Beat yolk of egg and mix olive oil, lemon juice and tincture of benzoin. It is very good for dry skin.

Marigold Nourishing Cream

Ingredients:

  • Marigold flower – 500 gram
  • Spirit of wine – 500 ml
  • Vegetable lard - 500 gm
  • Essence – q.s.
  • Tincture of benzoin–1 teaspoon

Place marigold flowers in a large glass jar and cover them with spirit of wine. Keep it in the sun for atleast a week. Shake the jar everyday. Heat vegetable lard and when it melts stir in essence. Add tincture of benzoin to preserve it. As it starts cooling pour into a jar slowly and mix thoroughly. It is good for oily skin.

Cucumber Nourishing Cream

Ingredients:

  • Cucumber juice – 4 teaspoons
  • Tincture of benzoin – 1 teaspoon
  • Distilled water – 25 ml

Mix all these ingredients well. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 5 – 6 hours before applying on the face and neck. Keep if for 20 minutes and then wash it off. This is good for all types of skin.

Almond Nourishing Cream

Ingredients:

  • Sweet almond meal – 2 tablespoons
  • Yoghurt – 100 gram

Mix almond meal with yoghurt. Apply it on face and neck and keep it for an hour. Rinse off with lukewarm water. It is good for dry and blemished skin.

Glycerine Nourishing Cream

Ingredients:

  • Take 2 tablespoons of glycerine.
  • Take 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

Mix both of them well and use like cold cream for skin nourishment before going to bed.
