Pencils of different types are also available for shadowing. They can either be frozen or provide a matte finish. Before using them on the lids, always test the colors on the back of the hand to check the intensity. You can use even 3-4 colors as provided. How to put on eye shadow?Eye shadow's highlight eyes, making them look bigger and brighter. Use an eye shadow that suits and complements the color of your eyes. To create the new round eye, apply a soft, neutral brown across the eyelid and somewhat above the crease, creating a round shape. Apply the same color shadow beneath the bottom lashes. To create a dark eye without the hassle of using a black eye shadow you just have to take a black pencil and apply it inside the lower eye to create the new smoky look. Apply eye shadow exactly over the eyelid. Draw a thin line of eyeliner on your upper lid, very close to the lashes. Use a soft tipped eye pencil over the line for an appealing effect. Neutral shades like browns and beige's look natural while brighter shades like blue and green looks dramatic and artificial. On mature skin and puffy eyelids, avoid using frosted, iridescent, light colors and white eye shadows and opt for soft matte colors instead. Applying dry eye shadow with a brush will assist you to coat your lids with beautiful sheer, all over color. To deepen the color of your eye shadow, use a sponge applicator. For a slightly more dramatic effect, apply your shadow wet with a brush; this will intensify and brighten the hues as well as increase shimmer.
